Evidence Basis
Based on 5-axis machining application data from DMG MORI (machine-tool manufacturer). These are recommended starting parameters for Ti-6Al-4V and Ti-6Al-4V ELI; actual values depend on machine rigidity, tooling, and toolpath strategy.
Engineering Interpretation (titanium.blog)
(titanium.blog) 5-axis simultaneous strategies run at lower speeds and feeds than 3+2 because more of the tool edge is engaged and the machine axes carry higher dynamic load. Trochoidal milling allows higher SFM by keeping radial engagement low and moving heat out of the cut. Treat these as conservative starting points, not absolutes.
